This is a case study highlighting the freelance marketplace and the potential impact of decisions made by the product consultant for business growth and inviting stakeholders towards it. Firstly, Infinite PL (IPL) Freelance Marketplace is a platform where freelancers can offer their services to clients looking for specific skills or tasks to be completed. Clients can browse through a variety of freelance profiles and hire the best-suited freelancer for their project needs.

 

II. ANALYSIS:

If I get onboarded as a Product Manager in IPL, then as a product manager, the main goal is to understand what our users are looking for and where the lack they are experiencing. This involves asking the right questions, evaluating the market, observing closely the market and technology shift, demanding data, and suggesting solutions to see if they are worth investing in. Where I understand that other platforms- Upwork is doing well but as a product manager I will try to put forward below shared points to make our platform shine: 

• It's important to gather feedback forms from our users to understand their needs and pain points to make improvisations.

• market research is really important, as staying updated on the trends and competitor offerings to identify new opportunities for innovation and enhancement.

• Conduct thorough testing and validation of new features before full implementation to ensure they are effective and well-received by users.

Market fluctuation is common but improvement in the product offered by our platform is the only key that should be consistent and it should keep evolving as per user’s demand.

I would suggest for any platform, feedback or pain point connectivity should be hassle-free, that we introduce an easy chat/phone support system where the user can easily get connected and we can help out at the early stage of the issue, This will ensure them that platform is taking care of their users.

Recently, we have observed a decline in the number of subscriptions on IPL's marketplace. One of the areas that we have identified as a possible solution to this issue is the enhancement of our job-matching process. By improving the way we match freelancers with suitable projects, we can increase the probability of successful job placements and ultimately attract more users to our platform.
