Hakeem is Pakistan’s leading Shariah‑compliant nano‑financing and digital wallet platform, designed to bring ethical, interest‑free financial services to underserved communities. Built on the principles of transparency and integrity, it offers instant access to funds through Tawarruq‑based financing, secure digital transactions, and personalized financial recommendations.

I solely led the Hakeem project end to end, architecting and designing the entire financial ecosystem including the nano‑lending app, wallet system, Tawarruq‑based financing flows, and complex backend admin portals.

When Hakeem, a pioneering Islamic financing platform, set out to deliver ethical, Shariah‑compliant financial services at scale, one truth became clear: access to capital was only half the story. To truly serve customers and drive lasting adoption, the financial ecosystem needed a central hub, a wallet that didn’t just hold funds, but multiplied possibilities.

We spotted the opportunity:

Expand offerings beyond nano‑lending.

Increase retention by making Hakeem part of daily life.

Unlock new revenue streams through transactions and value‑added services.

The answer was the Hakeem Wallet. When a customer’s loan is approved, funds no longer vanish into a distant bank account, they arrive instantly in their Hakeem Wallet. From there, the experience is seamless:

Pay utility bills, recharge mobile credits, or buy digital vouchers.

Withdraw to any linked bank account.

Top‑up directly to repay loans or spend within the app.

But adoption at scale required more than utility, it needed delight. After months of design sprints and deep brainstorming, we introduced a game‑changing layer: Reward Points.

Every action became a moment of value:

Make a payment? Earn points.

Top up your wallet? Earn points.

Repay your loan timely? More points.

Over time, these points could be redeemed for vouchers, discounts, or even converted back to cash, turning every transaction into a small victory and weaving Hakeem deeper into users’ daily financial habits.

The result was not just a feature launch, but the creation of a living, breathing financial ecosystem, one where ethical financing and practical convenience meet.
