Migrating DivineSpace Resource Hub to Framer

Daniel Osakwe

Project Overview

Divinspace is an Islamic education platform empowering teachers and students with structured curricula and teaching resources. While their core website was built on Framer, their resource hub a critical component remained on Notion, creating fragmentation and usability challenges. The client sought to unify their platform by migrating 300+ resources to Framer, ensuring scalability and a seamless user experience.

The Challenge

Divinspace’s resources were trapped in a Notion database, making navigation cumbersome for users and limiting the platform’s growth. Key hurdles included:
Migrating 300+ resources without disrupting existing workflows.
Organizing materials into curriculum-aligned topics for intuitive discovery.
Creating a system the client could manage independently, despite limited technical expertise.

The Solution: A Topic-Driven, Scalable Resource Hub

I designed and executed a migration strategy using Framer’s CMS to centralize resources, prioritizing ease of use and future scalability.
Why Framer CMS?
Volume & Scalability: Efficiently manage over 300+ resources and support future additions.
Client Autonomy: Enable non-technical users to update content effortlessly.
Structured UX: Organize materials into topic-specific curricula for clear navigation.
My Approach
Mapped existing Notion resources to identify curriculum structures and metadata (e.g., topics, resource types).
Collaborated with the client to define topic-based taxonomies (e.g., thematic categories, learning objectives).
Built a custom CMS in Framer with tailored fields (title, description, curriculum category, resource type) for easy sorting.
Designed dynamic templates for curriculum pages, ensuring consistency across topics.
Transferred 300+ resources into the CMS, optimizing metadata for searchability and topic alignment.
Provided hands-on tutorials for the client to add/update resources independently.
