New Web Experience Design & Email Design for YourDailyBrief
YourDailyBrief Project Cover
The Goal
YourDailyBrief helps busy people stay updated on their favorite podcasts without needing to listen to full episodes. The founder and I wanted to turn this idea into a real product: a clean web experience where users pick their podcasts and get weekly summaries. No fluff, just efficiency.
The Problem
The initial setup was… rough. Subscribing felt clunky, and the emails were basically giant blocks of text (think: a novel in your inbox). We needed to:
Make it dead simple for users to choose podcasts.
Turn those chaotic emails into something people actually want to open.
Keep everything scalable so they could add more podcasts later.
What I Did
1. The Web Experience: The web experience is split into two parts to keep things super straightforward:
Landing Page: A clean grid where users pick their favorite podcasts. No endless scrolling—just click, select, done.
YourDaily Brief Landing Page
Confirmation Page: A quick “Review Your Picks” screen so users can double-check before hitting subscribe. (Because nobody likes accidental spam.)
Newsletter Subscription Confirmation Page
2. The Email Design
The old emails were walls of text. I redesigned them into a reusable template with:
Clear sections for episode highlights, key takeaways, and links.
Visual breaks (dividers, icons) to make it scannable.
Mobile-friendly layouts so it looks good on any device.

The Results
Beta users loved it: 85% said the new emails were way easier to skim. One tester even said, “I finally don’t dread opening these.”
From idea to reality: The founder and I took this from a concept to a working beta in weeks. It’s not public yet, but early feedback is super promising.
Scalability unlocked: The template lets them add new podcasts without redesigning emails from scratch.
