Overview

Figma is a popular tool for creating, sharing, and testing designs for websites, mobile apps, and other digital products and experiences. To highlight UX Design within the services ctrl QS offers, we organized a series of workshops, online training sessions, and meetings. As part of the Academy, we designed diverse learning experiences to upskill employees company-wide.



Goals

  • Onboard different levels of seniority on Figma and FigJam.
  • Upskill the team: UX Fundamentals, layout & composition, components, site maps & mockups, library (text and color) and design system best practices.
  • Design a series of upskilling sessions based on hands-on methodology.
  • Enable different teams to work seamlessly on the software.



Process

Survey: Conducted a simple survey to assess the company's familiarity with Figma and gauge interest and engagement.

Collaboration: Worked closely with various teams to ensure the project's success.

Preparation: Undertook deep analysis and thorough preparation for the training sessions.

Best Practices: Collected best practices from the market and within the company.

Learning Boards: Designed practice frames and stations on Figma.

Delivery: Prepared and delivered all live sessions, training, and workshops as the trainer/instructor.



Results

Achieved 90% engagement across the company.

99% satisfaction rate with the hands-on approach.

Enabled over 150 employees to confidently use the software, fostering conversations and resource exchanges.

80% of participants reported increased confidence in using Figma and FigJam by the end of the project.

Personally, I enhanced my UX Design skills and passion.
