Complete redesign of the Vie Urbain website. Leader in the e-commerce industry, they offer discounts with vouchers on various types of industries.

Complete redesign of the Vie Urbaine website. Their main goal was to rejuvenate their image through the website. I had to focus my work on a style as clean and timeless as possible.

OVERVIEW

Vie Urbaine is the leader in the e-commerce industry, they offer discounts with vouchers on various types of industries. Vie Urbaine is an institution in Quebec, the number of daily users is very large and their reputation on social media is among the strongest in Quebec as a company.

RESEARCH

Vie Urbaine was one of the most prestigious sites I worked on and also the longest. I was able to face 2 major challenges that allowed me to grow as a designer but also improve my vision of approaching design.

The first one was the impressive workload. Vie Urbaine wanted a total and complete transformation of their site, everything had to go, basing on an element of their current site was a waste of time. Composing while reinventing without any of the original elements was a big challenge for a redesign.

The second one was the project management, I had the chance to take the lead of many meetings each week to present the progress made. Explaining my design as clearly as possible and trying to convince clients who were sometimes very detail-oriented was a real challenge. I realized that the "big picture" vision is sometimes very important. Being a detail-oriented person, it seemed essential to me to take a step back to better advance later on.

This project took more than 6 months before being sent for development. It was one of the most exciting pieces of work I've ever done.

The launch date of the platform is planned for 2022.
