WordPress Rebuild & IDX Integration for Altitude Real Estate
Altitude Real Estate — WordPress Rebuild & IDX Integration
A Wyoming real estate brokerage led by the 2025 President of Wyoming REALTORS went from a GoDaddy business card to a live, professionally designed WordPress site with active listings flowing from three MLS territories, custom branding built from scratch, lead capture tools, and individual pages for all six agents on the team. All in about a month.

Who this was for
Annie Wedgewood isn't just any real estate broker. She served as the 2025 President of Wyoming REALTORS and runs Altitude Real Estate LLC out of Rock Springs, Wyoming, with a team of six agents covering buyers and sellers across multiple MLS territories.
Her existing site on GoDaddy did the bare minimum: it existed. It couldn't reliably surface listings, it was hard to update without calling someone, and it didn't reflect the professionalism of a brokerage led by someone at that level of the industry.
The goal was a platform that matched the caliber of the team behind it. Something buyers could use to search real homes, and something the team could maintain without touching code.

Where it got interesting
Real estate sites have a layer of complexity that most web projects don't. Getting live MLS listing data onto a website requires board approvals, compliance with display rules, and a third-party data provider sitting in the middle of it all.
The original plan called for Showcase IDX. After evaluating MLS compatibility for Wyoming's specific data sources, IDX Broker turned out to be the better fit. That kind of early course correction is exactly why you scope before you build.
The integration had its own wrinkle too. IDX Broker serves listing search pages from their own subdomain, not from WordPress. That means styling has to happen in two completely separate environments at once: WordPress handles the site shell, and IDX Broker's admin panel handles everything buyers actually see when they search. Getting those two to look like one coherent brand required working across both systems at the same time.
Altitude had no formal brand guidelines, just a logo. The full color palette was pulled from that: a deep Wyoming maroon as the primary, a dusty rose accent, and a warm off-white background. That palette was then translated into custom CSS across both environments, covering search forms, listing cards, buttons, map styling, mobile layouts, and typography.

Making the listings actually work
According to Zillow, Wyoming has over 5,000 active property listings on the market at any given time. Altitude's site taps into three of the state's MLS territories: the Teton MLS, the Northeast Wyoming REALTOR Alliance, and the Wyoming MLS, covering a meaningful slice of that inventory for buyers searching in Annie's market areas.
But inventory means nothing if individual agents can't be found.
Mid-project, one of the agents flagged that her listings weren't showing up on the site at all. The culprit was an Agent ID mismatch between what had been configured in the IDX Broker widget and what the MLS feed had actually assigned to her. One careful audit of the data, a targeted fix to the agent filter configuration, and her listings were live. Small fix, real impact for a working agent trying to move homes.

What shipped
The live site at altituderealestate-wy.com includes a homepage, individual pages for all six agents, an about page, a contact form with lead routing, a home maintenance checklist lead magnet, and an active IDX-integrated property search pulling from three Wyoming MLS territories. The Elementor page builder means Annie and her team can update content without touching code.
