Planta – Plant Shopping & Care Guide App

Planta is a mobile app designed to help users discover, purchase, and care for plants with confidence. The goal was to create a calm, natural shopping experience that reflects the soothing nature of plants themselves. The design approach focuses on simplicity, clarity, and gentle colors that make the interface feel warm and approachable.

The interface is designed to stay out of the way and let the plants be the visual focus. Core experience decisions included:

Soft and natural green-based color palette

Minimal typography to maintain visual calmness

Clear product organization by Indoor / Outdoor / New

Easy checkout flow without distractions

Simple plant-care information displayed in expandable sections

This helps users feel confident choosing the right plants for their home and lifestyle.

Introduces featured plants and recommended items with large, bright plant photography that makes browsing feel natural and enjoyable.

Users can filter plants by category (Indoor, Outdoor, New) and compare key attributes easily.

A dedicated section for pots, tools, and care accessories ensures everything needed is available in one place.

The overall layout prioritizes clarity, space, and ease of browsing, similar to modern lifestyle retail experiences.

The UI system was built for scalability and visual consistency, including:

Color tokens built around greens and neutrals

Reusable card components for plant and product listings

Button and form variations for checkout flows

A bottom navigation bar optimized for one-hand use

This system ensures the app can expand into more plant types, guides, or community features in the future.
