The Challenge: As part of my Health Engineering final thesis, I developed and optimized an obesity tracking web application to improve patient engagement and usability. The goal was to design a platform that would seamlessly collect, process, and display health data while ensuring an intuitive user experience.

My Role: I was responsible for the full-stack development of the platform, including:

Backend Development (Python & SQL): Designed and implemented a secure and efficient database to store user health data, connecting it to a Python-based backend for data processing and API development.

Database Management (SQL & PostgreSQL): Developed and optimized database schemas to efficiently handle patient records and real-time health tracking data.

Frontend Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript): Built an intuitive user interface, ensuring clear data visualization and accessibility for patients and healthcare providers.

Usability Testing & Optimization: Conducted a usability study to identify pain points, refine navigation, and enhance engagement through UI/UX improvements.

The Solution: By combining web development, database engineering, and user-centered design, I created an accessible, responsive, and data-driven obesity tracking system. Key improvements included:

Optimized patient data visualization with clear progress tracking.

Enhanced backend efficiency, reducing data retrieval times.

A streamlined and intuitive interface, improving patient engagement.

The Impact: The final product demonstrated a 5% improvement in usability, providing actionable insights for designing health-tracking technologies that prioritize both functionality and user experience.
