Instaballoons is a leading wholesale balloon distributor with over 50,000 products and 250+ collections.
They approached me to modernize their online store while preserving existing functionalities and addressing challenges such as efficient product organization and implementing advanced filtering options.
To achieve this, I recommended leveraging Shopify’s Dawn theme based on the 2.0 architecture. I completely rebuilt the theme, introducing features like AJAX-based filters to enhance the user experience without compromising performance.

Key improvements included:
1. Shopify 2.0 Native Filters:
Implemented filters based on meta fields and product options, offering customers precise search capabilities.
2. Automated Product Organization:
Designed automated collections using keywords and tags while managing Shopify’s limitation of 5,000 products per collection.
3. Enhanced Navigation:
Developed a custom mega menu for seamless exploration and integrated a support box for quick assistance.
4. Optimized Predictive Search:
Customized the predictive search results, enabling quick product addition directly from the search bar.
This project highlights my expertise in Shopify development, problem-solving, and delivering an intuitive shopping experience tailored to high-volume inventory businesses.
