FLUX — AI Usage & Cost Management Dashboard

The goal was to design a SaaS experience that helps teams understand token consumption, model usage, credits, spending limits and account activity without overwhelming them with data.

The project focused on information hierarchy, decision-making and clear next actions rather than simply displaying analytics.

AI platforms can generate large amounts of operational data: token usage, model activity, costs, credits, limits and account events.

The core UX challenge was deciding:

What should the user understand first?

Which changes require attention?

How should complex usage data be presented without increasing cognitive load?

What action should the user take after seeing an alert?

I structured the experience around progressive disclosure: summary information first, trends second, and detailed model or workspace data when the user needs deeper analysis.

The product was organized around three core user tasks:

Overview A quick snapshot of usage, spending, remaining credits, projected costs, alerts and model activity.

Usage A deeper analytics view for comparing token consumption across models, workspaces and time periods.

Billing & Limits A focused area for understanding credit balance, monthly spend, projected costs and managing spending limits.

Alerts were designed to explain both what changed and what the user can do next, rather than simply reporting a problem.

The final concept creates a clearer path from raw AI usage data to meaningful decisions.
