Case Study: Verktyg1 - SaaS Tech-Forward Brand Identity

Client Overview

Verktyg1 is a SaaS company focused on delivering strong, reliable, and scalable tools for modern businesses. Their goal was to build a brand identity that communicates professionalism, versatility, and a clean, cohesive visual presence - tailored for digital-first environments.

The challenge was to create a mark that works well across: ✔ Web interfaces ✔ Product dashboards ✔ Mobile app icons ✔ Brand materials & presentations

Concept Development

1. Brandmark Construction

The Verktyg1 symbol is built from two core elements:
The letter V - representing the brand’s initial
The number 1 - symbolizing leadership, precision, and category ownership
These two shapes were merged inside a circular boundary. The result: a compact, strong, directional brandmark that communicates progress, structure, and reliability at a glance.

2. Typography & Wordmark

The wordmark explores multiple versions of "VERKTYG1," designed with:
Geometric letterforms for a modern SaaS feel
Clean cuts and angles to reflect precision and technology
A subtle highlight on the “1” to reinforce the core brand narrative
This creates a unified visual system where the logotype and brandmark feel intentional and engineered.

3. Color Psychology

The brand’s color palette centers on deep forest green and clean lime green, representing:
Stability & Growth (dark green)
Innovation & Freshness (light green)
Environmental responsibility - aligning with tech that feels grounded and trustworthy
Against dark backgrounds, the logo delivers a bold, premium presence.

4. Application & Usability

The identity was tested across:
Dark & Light backgrounds
Mobile App icons
Web interfaces
Brand stationery
The mark maintains clarity and impact at all sizes from favicon to billboard.

The Verktyg1 identity system successfully communicates:
A tech-forward SaaS personality
