Days To Vote

Days To Vote is an Instagram account documenting elections in the United States. Over the course of the 500 days preceding the 2020 Presidential election, a team of two editors and one designer published at least one post per day, presenting relevant political information through a non-partisan lens.
We created a cohesive and scalable visual language that could be applied across content types (charts, imagery, text etc.) for quick implementation.
Posts covered a wide array of subject matter: expected schedule and travel details; important calendar items (registration / absentee ballot deadlines); Candidate commentary; and post-debate infographics.
We fielded requests from influencers across the political spectrum to create posts that they thought would help inform their followers about the need to vote.

The Yard Signs

Leading up to the last 100 days of the campaign, and in an effort to foster greater dialogue, we designed and sent out hundreds of yards signs (multiple print runs) across the country. The signage helped to create an action that bridged the digital and physical divide, further engaging the community.
Conversations started when community members saw homeowners updating the countdown. These conversations began with questions about the sign, but immediately transitioned into election discussions. These discussions ranged from logistical concerns (where is the precinct now), to tactical ones (how do you evaluate judges).
Followers eagerly posted their signs, and requested more for friends and family members.
