Overview

Project duration: 4 months

PTV Flix is a streaming service created by PTV (Pakistan Television Corporation), founded in 1964, PTV has created some of the most memorable shows in Pakistan from Studio Ponai Teen, Aank wala Jin, Alpha Bravo Charlie to name a few that have entertained different generations.



User feedback for the original version of the application

• Lackluster appearance
• Confusing navigation
• Confusing login processes
• Interface design feels haphazardly placed



Audit & findings

After going through the application the main pain points that I found users were facing

• Sign-up for international and local users is very similar and confusing
• The interface design looked pieced together without any reflection of PTV's branding identity
• The app layout does not resemble any popular platforms in terms of layout - familiarity helps users associate with the product



Application redesign

The redesign kicked off with restructuring the architecture by making interaction flows, which were then adapted to the updated layouts, after which a hi-fidelity design pass was made to update color and font systems
