Why You Need a Social Media Manager

Whether you are a local restaurant or a high-end boutique, you need a dedicated social media manager! But why?
Over the past several years, social media has grown. Think about when Facebook first started up and only had 3 million active users! Since this time, active users, advertising, and revenue gained have dramatically increased! This isn’t just true for Facebook, though! All social media platforms have taken off, with the latest being Tik Tok!
Here are my top 3 reasons why you need a social media manager:
1.Social media is constantly changing! You need someone who knows how social media platforms change to know how to stay ahead. Is it a change in the type of content that needs to be posted? A change in the algorithm or something else? A social media manager knows exactly how to do this!
2.To be effective on social media, you need to have a strategy! Posting random content and random times can be super harmful to your brand. A social media manager is a dedicated individual who knows when to post to increase profile views and your business following. Consistency is key. Social media management requires a full-time effort, not just when you “have time” to post. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, you are doing a major disservice to your business if you have no social media profiles. A social media manager knows how to develop an effective social media strategy that will produce consistent growth and engagement!
3.You need to protect your business! Social media managers are constantly scrolling to look for both the good and bad messages/ comments directed to your business! An excellent social media manager can take nasty comments and turn them into a positive for your business. Reputation is everything in business, and most of this reputation now takes place on social media. A social media manager can quickly mitigate a “could be” negative viral post about your business that could decrease your following and potential revenues. So, you need a social media manager to constantly track information about your business to keep your reputation at 100%! Social media managers are always looking to put out fires before they start! But you only have a small amount of time to put out these fires before they take over!
If you have been considering hiring a full-time social media manager, then look no further!
