Introduction:

Crypmoji is a cutting-edge communications startup which employs state-of-the-art encryption technology to seamlessly integrate secure messaging and file-sharing capabilities directly into users' native iOS/Android keyboards. As a free-to-use platform, Crypmoji stands as a guardian of digital privacy, redefining how individuals communicate securely in an increasingly interconnected world.

Objective:

In the pursuit of refining its brand identity and market positioning, Crypmoji sought our expertise. The objective was multifaceted - Conduct a comprehensive brand audit to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the current identity, reshape the brand story and positioning for a wider audience, redesign the brand identity for a contemporary and cohesive look, and craft a dynamic marketing strategy for both short-term impact and long-term growth.

The Approach: Taking Things Seriously.

1. A Discovery Deep Dive:
In the quest to redefine their brand, "Crypmoji" engaged us in a discovery phase. We delved deep into understanding their core values, target audience, and the intricate workings of their cutting-edge encryption platform. What we found was that the current brand identity didn’t align with how the app was being used. Crypmoji was a serious tool being used by serious journalists and personnel in less-than-hospitable environments, yet the branding was fun and childlike. This laid the foundation for a complete strategic overhaul.
2. Brand Audit:
We meticulously examined every facet of Crypmoji's existing brand identity. This involved scrutinizing their visual elements, messaging, and market positioning. The brand audit unveiled insights critical to the subsequent redesign, helping us identify strengths to leverage and areas for increased alignment between identity, positioning and target audience.
3. Storytelling & Positioning:
Crafting a compelling narrative was key. We collaborated with "Crypmoji" to unearth the unique stories embedded in their pilot programmes. From this narrative, we derived a strategic positioning that not only conveyed the sophistication and value of their platform but also highlighted its user-friendly nature and the broader concept of secure communication for all.
4. Brand Identity Redesign:
With insights from the discovery and brand audit, we embarked on reshaping Crypmoji's visual identity. The redesign incorporated modern aesthetics reflecting cutting-edge technology while ensuring simplicity for user accessibility. The logo, colour palette, and overall visual language were reimagined to align seamlessly with the brand's new narrative - A Guardian of secure communication.
5. Marketing Strategies:
A robust marketing strategy was pivotal for "Crypmoji's" renewed identity. We developed a multi-faceted approach encompassing short-term goals for immediate impact and long-term strategies for sustained growth. This included laying the foundations of a content strategy that included social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and educational content to demystify encryption technology for a broader audience.
