Emergency information in Nosara was fragmented and difficult to find
Before Nosara911, residents and visitors often relied on Facebook groups, WhatsApp chats, or outdated websites to locate emergency phone numbers.
In urgent situations, this made it difficult to quickly identify the right contact or service.
The goal was to create a single, reliable resource where essential services could be accessed quickly.
Key design decisions
Mobile-first interface
In emergency situations users are most likely reaching for their phone, so the interface was designed primarily for mobile devices.
Clear service categorization
Services were grouped into intuitive categories so users can quickly identify the type of help they need.
Fast filtering
A filtering system allows users to narrow down services quickly instead of scrolling through long lists of contacts.
CMS-driven structure
Emergency contacts are managed through a structured CMS so the client can easily add and update information without technical support.
From UX exploration to implementation
The website structure and layouts were first explored in Figma, testing multiple navigation and layout approaches before moving into development.
Once finalized, the site was custom built in Framer with a CMS architecture designed to make the platform easy to maintain and expand over time.
Outcome
Nosara911 now provides a clear and centralized place where residents and visitors can quickly access emergency contacts and essential services.
