FlutterFlow team trusted us to develop an app for their FFDC event which took place in NYC in September ‘24. Our challenge was to create an app that would elevate an in-person and online experience for the attendees.

Meet the Client
FlutterFlow is a development platform with a visual interface for building cross-platform mobile and web apps, based on Google's Flutter framework.
With over 1.6M users FlutterFlow enabled many companies to develop amazing native and web apps in Flutter. This year they organised their second annual FFDC event for which they needed an app. Guess who built it?
Design approach
DISCOVER: User research, analysis of good practices and competitors.
USER FLOWS: Deep diving into the app structure, its features, and usability.
WIREFRAMES: Early-stage visual representations of a product’s layout.
UI DESIGN: We kept the app simple as the main focus is on natural sounds.
DESIGN SYSTEM: A comprehensive set of guidelines that encompasses a collection of reusable design elements.
Features
COUNTDOWN TIMER
Before the event took place, we wanted to bring the excitement to the attendees by showing a countdown timer widget. The widget was built so that it was showing in how many days/hours/minutes the event will take place!
PRIZE STACK CAROUSEL
To make sure the whole event would be as engaging as possible, we sent prize questions to all attendees and the best ones would get the rewards.
GYROSCOPE EFFECT

UI Design
We decided on a dark UI design that works best in low-light settings and allows bold accent colors for buttons, icons, and highlights to stand out, creating sharp, attention-grabbing contrast.
Overall, the modern sleek design provides a visually engaging and professional aesthetic, ideal for a tech-savvy audience.
Firebase & integrations
Since FlutterFlow is supporting an integration with Google Firebase it was natural for us to set up the backend there to speed up the whole development process.
We utilised a lot of “out-of-the-gate” features such as push notifications, to ensure great user experience while being able to develop the app very quickly.
OTP (One Time Password) login for quick login options
Firebase cloud functions for integrating with Ticket tailor API
FCM (Firebase cloud messaging) for push notifications
Security rules for secure database access
Storage for storing user avatars and assets
