I spearheaded the critical upgrade of SHOP.COM's tax engine from August 2019 to November 2020, a strategic initiative necessitated by evolving tax laws and our growing transaction volume. This project was central to their mission to enhance operational efficiency and compliance across the United States, ensuring our tax team was equipped with state-of-the-art tools for sales tax remittance across thousands of jurisdictions.

My leadership in this complex endeavor began with a strategic vendor selection process, through which Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE was identified as the optimal solution to meet our multifaceted marketplace needs. Recognizing the importance of a unified approach, I led the orchestration and direction of diverse teams across various divisions, achieving a centralized sales tax calculation process that marked a significant leap in our operational restructuring.
