"truly madly deeply" - Poster Design

Creating this poster for lyrics I had, "truly madly deeply" this was the first time I was inspired by my own imagination, and not another work of art. This poster design came straight from the visuals I would see when constructing the lyrics and the feelings involved in their meaning.

My favorite kind of art comes when I have very specific visuals that appear in my head, and the only way to shake them is to try and create what I see. Created entirely in Photoshop, I wanted to mimic the "collage" style that I see so often online, but created entirely digital. Printing out and scanning the finished product is always one of my favorite parts, because it's not often that you get to physically hold your art in your hand nowadays.

I love working with these specific textures and trying to make everything seem as realistic as possible, as if someone hand cut each individual heart out, pasted them on some pink paper, and scanned it in. And with that comes all the imperfections as well, such as lettering not sticking to the paper and popping up slightly.
