Translating the UK Visa Application Process to Romanian

I was in charge of translating the new Visa Application Process to enter and work in the United Kingdom, from English to Romanian. This project was extremely important as the process needed to be thoroughly explained, in a step-by-step guide, so that anyone could follow it on their own.🤓

I translated everything and tested it out with the help of my neighbours who could barely speak English. I wanted to make sure everything was clear before submitting the translated document. Even though the translation was easy to understand, they struggled through the process.😔 Once they got to the actual website they didn't know what to select and which buttons to press. So, I came up with the idea of including screenshots from the actual website where I circled or pointed out each button. I then included the translation next to the screenshots.

I tested the guide one more time and the subjects were able to complete the entire application process without any assistance. On this occasion, the translation alone wasn't enough, but by adding the screenshots, I made it easier for the applicants to go through the entire process on their own.✨
