During my time at bunq, I focused on researching and designing both new and existing features, helping to shape the experience of one of the most innovative banking apps.

My main responsibilities included updating the onboarding flow, contributing to the design of the new investment feature, and redesigning the bunq V4 app. Each of these projects required balancing functionality, usability, and visual clarity to meet the needs of a diverse user base.

One key project was the home screen redesign for bunq V4. The challenge was to structure a screen that inherently contains a lot of information without overwhelming the user. My solution was to give users control over what they see, allowing them to personalize the home screen while keeping essential banking actions immediately accessible.

Through extensive research and multiple design iterations, I developed a widget-based approach to allow customizability. Widgets let users select which data to display, while key actions are kept as fixed buttons for quick access. This approach ensures that users can perform essential tasks efficiently while tailoring the experience to their needs.

By combining user research, careful UX design, and thoughtful UI decisions, I helped bunq deliver a home screen that is both intuitive and highly flexible, empowering users to take control of their banking experience.
