"My Secret Santa" #HolidayChallenge2025
Overview
For #HolidayChallenge2025, I built My Secret Santa, a premium web app that automates gift exchanges for friends, families, and teams.
The goal was simple but ambitious:
create a fully functional, festive, and delightful experience that feels magical while solving a real holiday problem: organizing Secret Santa without friction.
Users can:
Sign up and create private events
Automatically assign gift pairs
Add wishlists and preferences
Receive personalized “Wrapped” holiday cards
Enjoy a playful, cinematic holiday atmosphere
What makes this project special isn’t just the final product, it’s how many tools were orchestrated together into one cohesive experience.
The Challenge
Holiday products usually feel rushed, generic, or overly simple.
I wanted to prove that a seasonal project can still feel premium, well-designed, and technically solid.
The real challenge:
Integrate multiple creative + technical tools
Keep a consistent visual language
Deliver a smooth UX despite the complexity
Ship something that feels joyful, not overwhelming

This project was designed as a tool-driven experiment.
Instead of relying on a single platform, I intentionally combined 7+ tools, each chosen for what it does best: development, visuals, audio, motion, storytelling, and polish.

Holiday products live or die by atmosphere.
With Suno, I generated custom holiday-style music that:
Enhances immersion
Feels playful, not generic
Reinforces the seasonal mood
This small detail adds a surprisingly strong emotional layer to the experience.

Descript: Voiceovers & Video Editing
All voiceovers and promotional videos were created using Descript.
Clean narration

This helped transform the project from “just a web app” into a presentable product story.
Design Inspiration & Direction
MagicPath: Holiday Design Exploration
Before locking the visual direction, I explored different festive aesthetics using MagicPath.
