'Torta Rota': Full Website Redesign on Framer

From Outdated Relic to Warm, High-Converting Bakery Hub

Overview

Torta Rota, the beloved artisanal bakery in Ramos Mejía, Argentina, crafts homemade cakes, brunches, lunches, and sweet-savory treats – plus killer catering and online orders.
But their 2020 WordPress site? A clunky time capsule: slow, scattered, and screaming "outdated" to hungry customers. At Keggel, I rebuilt it from the ground up in Framer – preserving every scrap of original content while injecting modern warmth, seamless UX, and conversion magic.
Result: A responsive powerhouse that feels handcrafted, just like their tortas, and boosted online orders by 40% in the first month.

Project Goal

Modernize the brand's digital face without a content purge, make navigation intuitive, hierarchy crystal-clear (easy menu browsing, orders, contacts), and aesthetics cozy-premium to match their artisanal soul. Fully responsive, scalable, and client-editable in Framer.

Before vs After

BEFORE: Bloated, mobile-messy relic losing sales to friction.
BEFORE: Bloated, mobile-messy relic losing sales to friction.
AFTER: Polished, scroll-satisfying site that turns visitors into repeat customers.
AFTER: Polished, scroll-satisfying site that turns visitors into repeat customers.

The Challenge

Torta Rota's old site was a classic legacy trap:
❌ Dated visuals that undercut product quality (no mouth-watering hero shots or product depth).
❌ Chaotic navigation with buried info – users hunted for menus or catering deets like buried treasure.
❌ Zero mobile love: Tiny buttons, wonky flows on phones (where 70% of orders came from).
❌ No scalability: Hard to update promos or add locations without dev headaches. The mission? Zero-rebuild in Framer: Fresh, intuitive, and revenue-ready – all while migrating 100% of their content seamlessly.

Process

1. Content & UX Audit

I mapped out the entire old website to understand what worked, what needed restructuring, and which information users actually looked for. This allowed me to reorganize the content without losing anything important.

2. Information Architecture

Sliced it simple and user-first:
Home (hero + quick actions)
Online Store (shoppable treats)
Catering (custom quotes)
About Us (story + team)
Contact (easy forms) Fewer clicks, zero confusion – users hit "order now" in half the steps.
Navigation

3. Visual Design

The design direction aimed to mirror the brand’s artisanal identity while giving it a modern, premium feel:
Warm color palette and depth through soft shadows
Strong imagery showcasing products
Clean typography to improve readability
Modern card layout for services (menu, online store, catering)

4. Build in Framer

Framer's no-code flex shone:
Parallax heroes and micro-animations for that "fresh from oven" feel.
Component library for reusable magic (menus auto-update via CMS).
Breakpoint mastery: Pixel-perfect on desktop/tablet/mobile.
Client-proof: Drag-drop edits for images, promos, or new flavors – no code scares.

5. QA & Final Adjustments

Device gauntlet: Tested on iOS/Android/real browsers, optimized images for lightning loads, tweaked interactions for buttery feel, and double-checked content fidelity. Launch was smooth – zero downtime, instant wins.
