Logistrack — Smart Logistic and Shipment Tracker Dashboard

This dashboard was designed to manage and monitor autonomous drone delivery operations in real time. With its 3D city visualization, energy stats, and live flight data, the interface brings together mission-critical insights into a single, highly interactive control center. The design balances technical precision with clear feedback mechanisms, ensuring operators can stay informed at every step of a mission.

In the early version, past and upcoming events lacked differentiation, making it difficult for operators to instantly identify which actions had been completed and which were pending. This forced manual time-checking, leading to cognitive overload and slower decision-making during live operations.

Users should not have to remember information from one part of the interface to another. This means designs should minimize memory load by making objects, actions, and options visible visually. (src: nngroup.com)

The improved dashboard applies Jakob Nielsen’s Visibility of System Status heuristic. Past events are now displayed with striped backgrounds and clear timestamps, making their status instantly recognizable. Alongside this, live stats such as altitude, speed, and battery energy are updated continuously, supported by intuitive visuals like trajectory paths and status icons. These enhancements provide immediate system feedback, reduce user effort, and increase confidence in decision-making during complex drone missions.

By embedding clear system feedback and visual cues, this dashboard elevates operational awareness, ensuring drone deliveries remain efficient, safe, and transparent.
