The client is a busy entrepreneur and no longer have time to manage technical stuff like managing domain. here are the steps we took to get her domain up and running

I initially asked the client about her business goals and why she wants to have a domain. Sometimes, some clients don't actually need a domain but more on optimizing other aspect of their business. Once everything is settled, I'll send the contract and will wait for her payment and signed contract.

Once the client shared their plans for the domain and shared the features they want to add, I'll then proceed on checking if her desired domain name is available. From there I'll add additional features they want added like:

Domain mail setup

Domain mail linking to Gmail setup

Before the clients announce their new domain, I make sure that it's working, it leads people to where they want and ensure that all the emails send to their domain mail will be received on their Gmail accounts.

In one instance, my client's bit.ly link got blocked or became inaccessible and it caused so much stress to her and her lead. broken links may affect her impression on her clients plus her clients might lose their patience and go with other providers. Good thing, she can call me anytime, even at the wee hours of the night to resolve it. We found out that the bit.ly link she used got some issues while the domain is perfectly fine and working. The sad part however, is she already pout the defective bit.ly link on all of her calling cards. To resolve her issues, I suggested that she can still use a new bit.ly link I created for her or she can use her domain name directly. As for her calling cards, I suggested that she can put stickers on them so she can still use them.

few days before her domain renewal, I notify her with the renewal and make sure she can continue on using her domain without any issues. At the same time, I frequently check up on the security of the domain. Recently I migrated the DNS to Cloudflare to a stronger security again malicious attacks.
