PKL reimagines pickleball as a social entertainment experience. Beyond the courts, PKL offers indoor and outdoor space for pickleball, shuffleboard, and cornhole, paired with food, drinks, and a focus on bringing people together after friendly competition. They needed a website that could handle court bookings, event reservations, and menu browsing while capturing the energy of the venue itself.

The brand sits at an unusual intersection: sports facility, restaurant, bar, and social hub. The website had to serve multiple user intents at once (book a court, check the menu, plan an event, just see what PKL is about) without feeling cluttered or losing the fun, laid-back personality of the space.

I mapped the core user flows first: booking a court, browsing food and drink menus, checking events, and reserving private spaces. Each flow needed to be reachable within one or two taps from the homepage.

The visual direction leaned into bold, energetic tones that reflect the venue's personality. Clean layout grids keep the information-dense sections (menus, event calendars, booking options) scannable, while lifestyle imagery and generous whitespace carry the social atmosphere throughout the scroll.

For the booking system, I designed a streamlined reservation flow that reduces friction between "I want to play" and "I'm booked." The interface surfaces availability, pricing, and court type without overwhelming first-time visitors.

The final design covers the full marketing and booking experience: hero with video background, venue overview, court booking flow, food and drink menus, events calendar, private event inquiry, and social proof through Instagram integration. The layout balances utility and vibe, making it easy to book while still selling the experience.

Designing for a venue that's part sports, part restaurant, part social club means every section competes for attention. The goal was giving each piece its space while keeping the scroll feel like one cohesive invitation to show up and have a good time.
