Projects: UX/UI Design for Mobile Applications Role: UX/UI Designer Collaboration: Agencies and Software Houses Technology: Figma, Flutter
Overview
As a UX/UI Designer, I collaborate with agencies and software houses to design user-centered mobile applications, primarily using Flutter for cross-platform development. I’ve worked on a variety of app projects, including a job search app, a marketing app, and a recipe finder app. My focus is on creating intuitive, responsive interfaces that enhance the user experience and meet business goals.
Process
For each mobile app project, I follow a structured design process using Figma:
Discovery & Research I begin by understanding the business goals and user needs. This phase includes stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, and developing user personas to inform the design approach.
Wireframing In this stage, I create low-fidelity wireframes to map out the app's structure and user flow. This helps visualize the app's functionality and overall layout.
User Flows & Prototyping Once the wireframes are approved, I build user flows to ensure seamless navigation. I then create high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, incorporating branding elements and ensuring consistency across the app's screens.
UI Design I design the app’s interface, focusing on a clean, user-friendly design that adheres to platform-specific guidelines (iOS and Android). This includes choosing the right color palettes, typography, and iconography.
Collaboration with Developers Throughout the process, I work closely with developers, particularly those using Flutter, to ensure the design is properly implemented and functions as intended on both iOS and Android devices.
Testing & Iteration After the initial implementation, I collaborate with the development team to conduct usability tests and gather feedback. Based on user interactions, I make necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.
