Dune Illustration

Illustrated in excitement for the home release of the movie Dune (2021). When I saw Dune in theaters, this statue immediately caught my attention; not only in the detail but how the light & composition worked in the multiple frames where it showed up.
What I love about this statue is that there are multiple interpretations of what it could symbolize. It can be both historical and prophetic, foreshadowing death, or even metaphoric…or, at least in my opinion, is all of the above.
The moons spell out the movie title D U N E and the colours capture the ominous feelings of the movie, where the orange represents the focus & pursuit of melange.
