Word Tonic's monthly copywriting challenge for April was a menu based on a musical artist or group. This year happens to be the 20th anniversary of My Chemical Romance's sophomore album (and one of my favorite albums of all time), "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge," so I created a reasonably stylish menu that could be hosted by any restaurant or venue as an anniversary dinner.
The Idea:
I blended My Chem's trademark aesthetic flair with some rich, nourishing, farm-to-table style dishes. This menu is based on my favorite food I’ve eaten in New Jersey as an homage to the band’s roots. And yes, all of the names are lyrical puns, because the members of My Chem are dads now and I feel like they would appreciate it.
