Problem: Starter Styles needed to establish a polished online presence to attract new clients, showcase their full range of hair services, and reflect the upscale, elegant experience they provide in person. Without a website, they were missing out on potential online bookings and brand visibility within their local market.

Research & Discovery

Conducted competitor analysis in the salon and beauty industry.
Identified target audience: women ages 25-55 seeking high-end hair care experiences.
Gathered brand inspiration for color palettes, photography, and tone.

Goals:

Create a warm, approachable, and modern digital brand identity.
Communicate available services and pricing.
Streamline the appointment booking process.
Build trust and credibility through testimonials and visual storytelling.
Ensure mobile responsiveness for on-the-go bookings.

From Concept to Creation

Color Palette: Soft blush tones paired with neutral whites and warm grays create an inviting, calming environment that reflects the salon’s luxury positioning.
Typography: Modern serif and clean sans-serif fonts were chosen to convey elegance while ensuring readability.
Imagery: Carefully selected photos emphasize both the salon experience and personalized client care.
Calls-to-Action: Prominent “Book Appointment” buttons make it easy for visitors to schedule services directly.

Mid-Fidelity Wireframes

After defining the content structure and service flows, I developed mid-fidelity wireframes to establish the layout, content hierarchy, and user journey for the salon’s website. These wireframes enabled me to focus on simplifying navigation, organizing service offerings, and positioning key call-to-actions, such as appointment booking. This stage provided a solid foundation for client feedback and ensured the design aligned with both the salon’s business goals and client experience expectations before moving into full visual design.

Solution:

By building Starter Styles’ website from scratch, I was able to create a brand-consistent, user-centered experience that reflects the luxury of their services while simplifying the booking process for their clients.

Visual Design

Created a light, feminine color palette with soft peach and blush tones to evoke elegance and comfort.
Used high-quality imagery to showcase the salon's atmosphere and services.
Designed CTA buttons like “Book Appointment” to encourage immediate action.
Included testimonials to build trust and highlight client satisfaction.

Responsive Design

Developed layouts that seamlessly adapt across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices to ensure a consistent user experience.

Results:

Delivered a fully functional, responsive website ready for launch.
Simplified appointment booking process, reducing manual scheduling work for the salon.
Strengthened Starter Styles’ brand presence and online visibility.
Created an elevated digital experience that aligns with their in-salon luxury offering.
