Inspired by the natural world and my family’s oral storytelling tradition, my published articles and essays weave modern folklore about travel, culture, mental health, and underrepresented communities. My writing has been published in Expat Press, The North Star with Shaun King, Mixed Mag, Grain of Salt Mag, Washington Square News, NYU Gallatin Archive, and others. I wrote an in-depth interview with a social media influencer in which I unpacked themes of mental health, Internet culture, and diversity. This article is one of the top ten in Ebony Tomatoes Collective’s entire literary collection and was featured in a print magazine that sold at bookstores and magazine fairs.
As an undergraduate at NYU, I wrote an investigative article about student parents at my university. The rigorous writing, research, and interviews featured in this piece made it one of the top articles of that semester.
I wrote a travel blog about my cross-country road trip from New York to Los Angeles. In this piece, I wrote about water access in the Southwest, tying history and environmental research to my personal travel experiences. Substack is one of my favorite platforms for writing and discovering other storytellers.
