MTC-KTC ERP: Full-Stack Agriculture Operations Platform

Mbarali and Neighbours Small Scale Farmers Company is a rice farmer-owned business in Tanzania running operations across trading, input supply, warehousing, milling, mechanization, finance, loans, and investor reporting. All of it was managed manually, across fragmented spreadsheets and paper records.

I built their ERP from scratch.

MTC needed a centralized system to manage a complex agricultural business with multiple departments, dozens of user roles, and operational workflows that touched every part of the company. Finance couldn't see what warehousing was doing. Investors had no visibility into performance. Each department operated in its own silo.

A role-based ERP platform where each department accesses only the tools and data relevant to their responsibility. Super admins manage the full system, finance teams track capital and reports across business lines, investors view performance dashboards, and department-specific users handle their own workflows independently.

Rice purchasing and sales tracking with supplier/customer management

Agricultural input distribution and SKU/stock management

Warehouse cargo inflow/outflow and stakeholder storage

Milling records and mechanization equipment booking

Harvest financing with loan repayment workflows

Capital allocation, expense management, and financial reporting

Group programs, training modules, and document uploads

Notifications and detailed business reports across all departments

Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Redux Toolkit, NextAuth, charts, and data tables.

Backend: NestJS, PostgreSQL, TypeORM, JWT authentication, Swagger API docs, Docker, AWS S3, Nginx, and Terraform-based AWS infrastructure.

MTC moved from fragmented manual processes to structured, transparent, and reportable digital management. The platform is built to scale as the organization grows, with a clean role-based architecture that makes adding new departments or workflows straightforward.
