Most ecommerce builds are "put products on a page, add a checkout." aDawliah Shop needed something closer to a full retail operating system.
What It Is
aDawliah Shop is a bilingual ecommerce platform serving customers across Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The catalog spans musical instruments, electronics, audio gear, accessories, digital products, and brand-led campaigns. The platform handles everything from browsing to branch pickup to post-purchase confirmation, in both Arabic and English.
The Challenge
This wasn't a single-market, single-language store. The platform needed to support two countries with different logistics, multiple regional payment methods (Mada, Tabby, Tamara, Apple Pay alongside Visa/Mastercard/AMEX), branch pickup across cities like Riyadh, Jeddah, and Khobar, and full RTL/LTR bilingual rendering.
On the admin side, the business needed real operational tools: product management with galleries and audio previews, order workflows for two markets, coupon engines, customer management, branch configuration, content publishing, product feeds for Google and Facebook, and abandoned-cart reporting.
My Role
I worked as the full-stack Laravel developer, handling backend development, frontend implementation, payment flow support, API work, admin features, mobile/PWA integration, and ecommerce workflow improvements.
What I Built
Bilingual storefront with full Arabic/English localization and RTL support. Not just translated strings; the entire layout, navigation, and content flow adapts to the active language.
Product catalog system with categories, brands, galleries, music/audio previews, offers, and search. Products can carry rich media including audio samples for instruments and gear.
Cart, wishlist, and checkout flows with customer account management. The checkout handles delivery and branch pickup options, with location-aware logic for KSA and Bahrain.
Branch pickup support for physical locations in Riyadh, Jeddah, Khobar, and other cities. Customers select their nearest branch during checkout, and the admin system routes the order accordingly.
Regional payment integrations supporting Visa/Mastercard, Mada, AMEX, Apple Pay, Tabby (buy now pay later), and Tamara. Each gateway has its own flow, error handling, and confirmation logic.
Admin dashboard for managing products, orders, customers, coupons, offers, branches, banners, blogs, and reports. The admin tools are built for daily retail operations, not just content editing.
Mobile API and PWA with AngularJS-based screens for mobile shopping flows, connected to the Laravel backend through API endpoints secured with Laravel Sanctum/Passport.
Order confirmation through both email and SMS, with templates adapted for each market.
Product feeds for Google Shopping, Facebook Catalog, and Doofinder search, keeping external channels in sync with the live catalog.
Analytics and reporting including abandoned-cart tracking, order reports, and customer activity data.
Payments: Visa/Mastercard, Mada, AMEX, Apple Pay, Tabby, Tamara
Integrations: Email/SMS, Google Shopping feeds, Facebook Catalog, Doofinder
The Result
The result is a complete ecommerce ecosystem that connects storefront, mobile, payment, logistics, and admin operations in one platform. Instead of treating the website as only a sales channel, the system supports the day-to-day workflows needed to run a regional retail business online across two markets and two languages.
A full-stack bilingual ecommerce platform for musical instruments and electronics, serving Saudi Arabia and Bahrain with regional payments, branch pickup, and admin operations.
