Thrift Stores are now saturated with fast fashion. Hundreds and thousands of thrift stores are popping out each day and it's a challenge to stand out among the crowd. Since Anastasia is a solo founder, we thought it would be nice to create a cute little mascot associated with her personality and brand values.
Draft one:
Stargirl, the mascot's name played a crucial role in developing Anastasia's brand identity. The mascot was quirky and fashionable, which also gave off a youthful energetic vibe that Anastasia was looking for. Stargirls Closet mainly picked y2k retro clothing for their customers, and we wanted to make it as quirky as possible.
Finalised Logo:
Anastasia suggested adding a little swirl inside the star as it symbolises cycles, growth and evolution.
Cycle: A thrift store is a place where people bring old clothes to donate and re-sold to new customers.
Growth: As thrift shopping is also commonly referred to as secondhand clothing or secondhand shopping, the clothes are not brand new and have already been used or worn. Buying secondhand clothing allows you to reduce waste and help the planet, and this particular act is associated with maturity because it signifies a shift in perspective towards consumption.
Evolution: The vintage and the modern era collide which allows consumers to style their clothes in a more trendy way.
