Global Coin Research (GCR) is a community driven investing platform in the Web3 space. For this project, GCR wanted to refresh their website, while opening the doors for future opportunities to enable crypto payments as well as standard payment rails for new members to join easily.

Before starting on the site, we explored how we could make evolutions to the brand and the brand mark through a close collaboration with the GCR team. In the previous iteration of their brand, there was very little definition towards what primary colours were, or how illustrations should appear. So as an exercise, we thought tightening up the brand and giving it more clarity was a better plan of action than exploring something entirely new.

In renewing the site itself, we wanted to highlight the organized approach to community investing that GCR practices through expressing the information in a large format grid and using lots of whitespace to give room and highlight the information that GCR wanted to communicate to the reader.

Transitioning from Wordpress; we migrated all the content to Framers CMS, and used Thenty to handle the membership management and signup duties. This enabled a streamlined experience, allowing the GCR team to track things like payment details, to webhooks via Zapier that signed up new users to their Mailchimp mailing list.
