Top Pharma: Revolutionizing Access To Healthcare In Ghana

Top Pharma is a leading pharmaceutical company based in Ghana. After over a decade of trusted service, they set out to transform how patients access medication and healthcare services. The goal? Create a seamless, secure, and intuitive mobile experience that empowers users to order prescriptions, find doctors, and manage their health—all from their phones. The Top Pharma app became the digital solution that brought this vision to life, bringing quality healthcare right at your fingertips.

Phase 01: Understanding The Challenge

We were tasked with designing a comprehensive mobile application that seamlessly combines pharmacy services, medical consultations, and emergency healthcare access into one intuitive platform. The main challenges included;
Integrating diverse services without overwhelming users.
Creating a visually appealing yet highly functional interface.
Promoting engagement with advanced features like online consultations and health tracking.
Ensuring robust security for sensitive healthcare information and transactions.

Phase 02: Designing The Experience

With a clear understanding of the project goals and user challenges, we moved into crafting a user-centered experience that balances simplicity with powerful functionality. In this phase we:
Designed streamlined flows for key tasks such as prescription refills, booking consultations, and accessing emergency help via FaceTime with a doctor.
Progressed from structural wireframes to detailed, branded visual mockups tailored to both Android and iOS platforms.
Built a cohesive design system with scalable components, color schemes, icons, and typography aligned with Top Pharma's Brand Identity and accessibility standards.
Conducted usability tests with target users to gather feedback on navigation clarity, feature discoverability, and overall app intuitiveness.
With the outcome being a polished interactive prototype representing the full app experience, ready for team review and developer feedback.

Phase 03: Handoff, Launch & Optimization

Once the visual and experiential design was approved, we transitioned into preparing the app for development and long-term success. In this phase we;
Organized and exported all design files, components, assets and documentation to ensure a smooth handoff.
Collaborated with the development team during build to maintain design consistency and make necessary adjustments.
Monitored early user feedback, analytics and user behavior to make iterative improvements.
Created reusable UI components and a flexible design system for ongoing updates and future rollouts
