Creating Impactful Branding Materials

The project was to create a logo used for internal purposes to represent Continental Realty's goal of 10,000 apartment units + 20 million square feet of commercial space by the year 2030. Shown is the logo, a 82" x 26" retractable fabric banner and a few slides from a powerpoint presentation. The presentation was designed to be informal, light-hearted and enjoyable, fitting for a causal company update meeting.

New Logo and PowerPoint Deck Challenge

I recently tackled a creative challenge while working on a rebranding project for MY Wealth Management, a long-established company. This experience highlighted the importance of collaboration and flexibility in overcoming creative obstacles. The goal was to modernize the company’s image without losing the essence that long-time customers recognized and trusted. The main challenge was balancing the old and new; retaining the brand’s heritage while infusing it with a fresh, contemporary look. The client had strong emotional ties to certain elements of the existing design, adding complexity to the project.

How I Solved It: I began by thoroughly understanding the company’s history, values, and the visual elements that held sentimental value. I also analyzed competitors and current market trends to identify opportunities for modernization. Next, I created several design concepts that blended the old with the new. For instance, I maintained the color palette and key design elements but introduced cleaner lines and modern typography.

Result: I presented the concepts to the client, actively seeking their input and making revisions to fine-tune the design. This iterative process ensured that each version moved closer to an ideal solution. The rebranding was a success, revitalizing the company’s image while preserving its core identity.
