Full website design and build for an intimate wedding venue, creating a design-forward digital showcase that matches the quality of the space and converts browsers into inquiries.
The Challenge
Love Otherwise needed a web presence that reflected what made the venue special: the design, the intentionality, the commitment to inclusive celebrations. But a wedding venue business doesn't need complex functionality—it needs to let the space speak. The challenge wasn't building features. It was building a site where the venue itself was the product, presented beautifully enough that couples could envision their wedding there.
My Role + Approach
I worked with the owner to build a site that prioritized visual storytelling over everything else. We created a custom gallery that lets potential clients actually see the space, integrated video to capture atmosphere and flow, and kept everything else minimal: a contact form to capture inquiries and a blog for sharing client stories. The approach was intentional restraint—every element needed to earn its place on the page.
Key Focus
The priority was making the venue undeniable. A wedding venue's best marketing tool is showing what it actually looks like. Everything on the site—layout, pacing, typography, color—had to step back and let the photography and video do the work. The brand comes through in restraint and taste, not in copy.
What I Delivered
Website Design A custom-built site that positions the venue as modern and intentional, matching the boutique positioning and the owner's brand voice.
Gallery + Video Integration Structured visual presentation that showcases the space in context, with video supporting the photography to give couples a real sense of how the venue feels.
Contact Form Streamlined inquiry capture that turns interest into actual leads without friction.
Blog Space Simple content structure for the owner to share wedding stories and venue updates.
The Result
Love Otherwise launched with a site that reflects what makes it different: modern design, inclusive positioning, and genuine boutique positioning. The owner has a searchable web presence that generates inquiries and accurately represents her brand. Couples who visit the site see a venue that's intentional about who she serves and how she operates.
