Website Build for Wes the Barber

Full website design and build for an independent barber scaling from social-only to searchable, with portfolio space built in for growth.

The Challenge

Wes had done something most barbers can't: built a thriving practice entirely on Instagram. No website. No online booking. No search presence. But as his client base grew, he hit the ceiling of what social media alone could carry. He needed a web foundation that would reinforce his brand as he scaled—something that turned curious customers into booked appointments and gave him real search visibility in London, Ontario.

My Role + Approach

I worked with Wes to translate his Instagram aesthetic into a web presence that matched the quality of his cuts. We sourced design direction from sites he respected, used Lovable to rapid-prototype the look and feel for his approval, then moved into refinement: tightening copy, building out portfolio sections, and setting up the infrastructure to scale his visual work as he grows.

Key Focus

The priority was building brand recognition without noise. Wes's clients connect with him because of his work and vibe, not because of marketing copy. The website needed to get out of the way and let that speak, while solving the practical problem of being findable and bookable online.

What I Delivered

Website Design A one-page site built with Lovable that captures his brand identity and translates the Instagram experience to web.
Portfolio Sections Structured spaces for his work with built-in room to expand as he adds new photos and styles.
Copy Refinement Messaging that matches his voice: sharp, confident, no fluff.
Booking Integration Full online booking setup to convert browsers into appointments.

The Result

Wes launched with a searchable web presence that feels like a natural extension of his brand, not a checkbox. When clients find him online, they see the same quality and vibe they follow on Instagram. The site is built to grow with him as his portfolio expands.
