Introduction

🎬 WACRIA Foundation Inc. is a non-profit organization that support educational indicatives and business opportunities for women and children in Cameroon & Rwanda.

The Problem

📌 As a newly established organization, WACRIA Foundation needed a distinctive design language that encapsulated both the simplicity and gravity of education and economic disparities across Africa.

The Solution

📌 The design aimed to be minimal yet powerful, ensuring that every visual element served a purpose. By embracing simplicity, the brand's identity communicates a sense of transparency and trustworthiness while drawing attention to the serious nature of their work. The resulting design language evokes a bold yet welcoming aesthetic that underscores WACRIA Foundation’s dedication to real, impactful change.

📌 The main logo and sub-logo were crafted to embody clarity and purpose. The minimalist approach underscores the foundation’s dedication to addressing complex social issues in a straightforward manner.

Website Design

📌 To support WACRIA’s strong focus on writing and journalism—especially stories highlighting human rights perspectives—the website was designed to be both visually appealing and highly functional.
🧨 A standout feature is the "Conversation" section, which serves as a platform for live, global essay submissions (think: long-form tweets). This interactive design encourages community involvement and fosters a sense of belonging among contributors. This section was nested in the "Essays" page.
