Alvara House | Real Estate Website in Next.js

Alvara House is a boutique estate agency on the Pacific Northwest coast. Most property websites are built around filters, floor area and price. Alvara wanted the opposite — a site that reads like an architecture publication and still works as a property portal. Sixteen pages, hand-coded in Next.js, with light and dark built as two finished treatments rather than one inverted into the other.

Every listing leads with the architect and the year the house was completed; bedroom counts sit underneath as a supporting line. Photography runs full width without uniform cropping, so each house keeps its own proportions. That single editorial decision carries from the collection index all the way through to an individual listing.

Alvara only takes instructions within ninety minutes of the office, so the neighbourhood guides are a real part of the offer rather than filler. Each one carries coordinates, median pricing and the houses currently represented there.

Dark mode was designed, not derived. Type weights, image grounds and contrast were re-balanced for the dark palette so neither version feels like the leftover.

Sixteen pages: home, about, four service pages, the property collection and individual listings, nine neighbourhood guides, partner profiles, journal, careers, FAQ, contact and privacy. Contact forms, custom animations, a custom 404, custom code and a dark/light toggle throughout.
