User Research
To identify user pain points concerning the current KICC mobile app, I researched and acquired data on users' review of the app on Google Play Store.
These reviews covered functionality, design, interface, and usability on the app.
Problem
Based on user review, I identified the following pain points;
Sign up difficulty, and
No user onboarding
Retained Functions
From the User Research, I identified certain functions that users enjoyed, functions that a lot of users gave a good review. Some of these were;
Access to live services on the go, and
Replay of previous services
Solution
Based on the user pain points and features popularity with users I;
Included three onboarding screens in the redesign,
Simplified the sign up process to 3 steps in the user flow,
Included a Google sign up option to sign up for improved accessibility,
Designed a countdown feature on the homepage to easily inform users about when the next live service will be, and
Included a filter option on the branches page to improve usability.
