HR teams at Deloitte, KPMG, SeamlessHR, and other enterprise clients were stuck with outdated assessment tools that required weeks to build tests manually, had zero AI assistance, provided no actionable hiring insights, and couldn't scale from 5-person startups to 5,000-person corporations. Manual test creation took 2+ weeks per role.
Grading was subjective and time-consuming. There was no data connecting assessment results to actual job performance. Enterprise clients needed role-based access for complex org hierarchies, but startups needed dead-simple interfaces. One product had to serve both extremes.
What I Did
I designed a scalable assessment platform that could serve everyone from small startups to Fortune 500 companies. I created an AI-powered question generation tool that reduced test creation time from weeks to minutes, built role-based access controls flexible enough for complex enterprise org charts, designed analytics dashboards that translated test data into hiring insights (not just scores), and created white-label capability so clients could brand the platform as their own.
I built the entire product on WordPress for rapid iteration while maintaining
enterprise-grade functionality. The system had to be simple enough for a solo
founder but powerful enough for global HR teams.
Where It Got Messy
Six weeks before enterprise client demos, Deloitte's security team rejected our entire authentication system because it didn't meet their SSO requirements. We had to implement enterprise-grade single sign-on integration across multiple identity providers (Azure AD, Okta, Google Workspace) while maintaining the simple email/password option for smaller clients. Then KPMG requested custom assessment templates that our flexible builder couldn't handle, they needed industry-specific compliance questions we hadn't designed for. I had to extend the question builder architecture to support custom question types and regulatory compliance tags without breaking existing functionality for other clients.
Results
SimplifiedIQ acquired 25 enterprise clients including Deloitte, KPMG, government agencies, and NGOs within 6 months. The platform serves 100K weekly users. Assessment creation time dropped from 2 weeks to 45 minutes on average. Client retention rate: 92%.
The platform has processed 2M+ assessments. Clients reported 38% improvement in hiring quality because assessments actually predicted job performance. The white-label feature became the top-requested enterprise selling point.
