A unique restaurant finder app designed for people on the carnivore diet and meat enthusiasts. Branding and UI/UX for an app that helps users easily locate meat-focused restaurants while catering to various dietary habits, including allergies.

Challenge

Designing the user interface for a location-based restaurant finder app. The target group includes strict carnivores, omnivores with meat-heavy diets, as well as people with allergies. The challenge was to create an intuitive platform that allows users to effortlessly find restaurants aligning with their unique dietary preferences through advanced filtering options.

Process

The UX research initiated by engaging with potential community members on social media and several phone interviews with distinct questionnai, leading to the creation of four personas: two types of restaurant customers, a restaurant owner, and a carnivore influencer. This research informed the app’s design and functionality, ensuring it met the needs of its diverse user base.

Solution

The app’s branding features a modern yet timeless logo using glyphic/wedge serifs, complemented by a warm color palette. This design exudes rustic warmth and authenticity. The search pattern incorporates preset dietary preferences that can be adjusted quickly, enhancing usability for users traveling with friends who have different dietary needs.
