Usability Testing - UX Evaluation of a Diabetes Management App
Conducted a mixed-method UX evaluation of ComDiaBeat, a community-based diabetes management mobile app prototype.
Methods used: NASA Task Load Index (NASA-TLX) to measure cognitive load across core tasks, and card sorting (16 cards) to evaluate information architecture and navigation structure.
Key findings included high mental demand on specific logging tasks, ambiguous labelling between overlapping features (Data Log vs Insight, Daily Goal vs Today's Goal), and strong user consensus on grouping social features (Groups-Feed: 100% agreement). Delivered structured recommendations for IA restructuring and cognitive load reduction.

AIESEC Oulu Website Redesign - UX Lead
The AIESEC Oulu website was built by marketing interns without a UX or design background. The result had misplaced content, wrong section names, broken functionality, missing information, and structural logic based on internal org thinking rather than user mental models. As the only team member with UX training, I ran a full written audit, documented every issue with recommendations, and led the team as Jira project lead — assigning all 25 tasks with clear descriptions, priorities, and owners, then reviewing each implementation before marking it done.

ComDiaBeat - Community Supported Diabetic Management
Diabetes management apps fail not because they can’t track data — they fail because tracking alone doesn’t change behaviour. Sustainable change requires autonomy + feedback + community.
Theoretical framework:
Iterative Design Process → BCSS (what we achieve) → PSD (how we persuade) → Information Architecture (how we organise) → ComDiaBeat (what users experience).
Methods:
Semi-structured interviews, competitor benchmarking, card sorting, think-aloud usability testing, NASA-TLX cognitive load assessment, value-sensitive analysis

OSL Public Transit App — UX Redesign
Redesigned the OSL public transit app with a focus on reducing user friction and improving information architecture. Conducted usability research, identified key pain points in the navigation flow, and delivered a redesigned prototype that achieved a 40% reduction in friction. Work included user research, journey mapping, and iterative prototyping in Figma.
