Teaser for the Spanish bestseller "La mala hija" by Pedro Martí (Publisher: Destino). This teaser was a bit tricky to do, even though it might look simple and natural. The small challenge was to reproduce the exact same eye displayed on the cover, while giving it a natural, organic movement. So, the process involved taking several videos of my own eye (I preferred to control the acting). I also prepared the blue eye texture from the cover to replace my own. I matched the eye movement from my video with a 3D modeled eyeball—textured with the retouched eye—and composited it over the ad. The lens deformation completes the effect.
