Small businesses want executive-level support without an executive-level salary. That math only works if the hours go further. So, I documented the six workflows that eat the most admin time: meeting notes to action items, inbox triage, first-draft correspondence, travel research, fact-checked research summaries, recurring reports. The important half is the guardrails. Anything sent in a principal's name, anything touching personnel or payroll, any final number in a deliverable, none of it runs unattended. AI drafts. A person decides. This is what powers the KVAS service model.

Leaders were walking into meetings cold because materials showed up minutes beforehand. One page. Fixed sections. Issue, decision requested, background, positions in the room, risks. It closes with a single line: what we need from you. The constraint did the work. One page forced the owner to decide what mattered before it ever reached the principal. Adjacent offices picked up the format without anyone mandating it. Illustrative recreation. No real records, agency or client.

Commitments made in meetings used to live in three places: someone's notes, someone's inbox, and someone's memory. So I built one tracker. Every action item gets an owner, a due date, and the meeting it came from, captured before the room clears rather than reconstructed later. One weekly review pass. Automatic escalation at seven days past due. The point wasn't the spreadsheet. It was that follow-through stopped being something people assumed and started being something you could see. Illustrative recreation. No real records, agency or client.

Working with Green The Bid and also Scope3 gave me the opportunity to contribute to the advertising community as a sustainability educator as well as being a producer, product manager and creative. One of the pieces of work in this area I am most proud of is the free masterclass I created with D&AD. This doc includes a link to the online materials and some of the recorded interview.

Much of the work at Green The Bid was building the resources needed for the advertising industry to adapt to more sustainable behaviors in production. I was proud to work with many hard working and prestigious creative companies, across the community, to create and proliferate these best practices. Some examples here

Co-founding and building Green The Bid, to support the advertising industry in decarbonization, was one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Some press here to show the work we did with the community

MCP Market is the financial operating system for AI agents. Launching end of February 2026, it's the first platform that lets autonomous agents actually buy and sell stuffâthink Stripe meets AWS billing, but for intelligent software. It solves the extension payment crisis (Chrome killed their payment system), enables agent-to-agent commerce with crypto rails, and meters AI resource usage down to fractions of a cent per API call. Developers can monetize their agents with granular pay-as-you-go pricing while users get "kill switch" budgets to prevent rogue agents from draining their wallets. It's cloud-grade billing infrastructure accessible to individual devs, bridging local AI runtimes with global payments through both fiat and USDC.

đ Day 5 of My 40-Day Creator Challenge! Another day, another opportunity to grow as a designer. My goal is still the same: gain 500 followers and connect with 5 new design clients by consistently sharing my work, what I've learned, and the experiences that have shaped my career. Today I wanted to share a branding project I really enjoyed working on for Bon Pergola. One of the things I love most about branding is that it goes far beyond creating a logo. Every choiceâfrom the typography and colors to the overall visual directionâhas to support the story a company wants to tell. For Bon Pergola, I wanted the brand to communicate quality craftsmanship, professionalism, and a premium outdoor living experience while remaining clean, memorable, and versatile across different marketing materials. My process always starts with learning about the business first. I spend time understanding who they're trying to reach, what makes them different, and how their visual identity can help them stand out. From there, I begin exploring concepts, refining ideas, and building a complete identity that feels intentional instead of simply looking good. Projects like this have made me a much stronger graphic designer because they've taught me to think strategically rather than just creatively. It's easy to make something attractive, but it's much harderâand much more rewardingâto create work that solves problems, builds trust, and helps a business grow. Every branding project reminds me that great design is about more than software. It's about listening, asking the right questions, understanding people, and creating visuals that leave a lasting impression. I'm grateful for every opportunity that helps me continue improving my craft, and I'm excited to keep sharing more of that journey throughout this challenge. I'd love to hear from youâwhat's one project that's had the biggest impact on your growth? đ Day 4 of my 40-Day Creator Challenge! Every successful freelance project starts long before the design processâit starts with trust. Today I'm sharing an example of my new commission proposal, the same type of document I use to help clients understand exactly what they're getting before we begin working together. As a freelance designer, I've learned that transparency is one of the most valuable things you can offer your clients. A clear proposal outlines the scope of work, timelines, deliverables, revisions, pricing, and expectations from day one. That means no hidden fees, no surprises, and no confusion. Building trust from the very beginning creates stronger relationships, smoother projects, and often leads to long-term clients who come back again and again. In my experience, this foundation is one of the biggest keys to lasting success as a freelancer. Whether you're hiring a designer or building your own creative business, clear communication and honesty will always set you apart. If you'd like to see more behind-the-scenes insights into freelancing, branding, and graphic design, follow along as I continue my 40-day journey toward (500 new followers and 5 new design clients) đŒ Portfolio: BurgeStudios.com (http://BurgeStudios.com)#GraphicDesign #FreelanceDesigner #Branding #CreativeBusiness #SmallBusiness #LogoDesign #DesignProcess #ClientExperience #CreativeEntrepreneur #Transparency #BusinessTips #AdobeCreativeCloud #DesignerLife #Freelancing #BurgeStudios #CreatorChallenge

đ Day 3 of My 40-Day Creator Challenge! The journey continues. My goal is simple but ambitious: gain 500 followers and connect with 5 new design clients by consistently sharing valuable insights, practical advice, and an honest look into life as a freelance graphic designer. Today's post is a little different. Instead of a design tutorial, I'm sharing a self-motivation speech that I recorded for myselfâand for every creative who's questioned whether they still have a place in today's AI-driven world. Artificial intelligence is changing the creative industry faster than ever. It's easy to wonder if designers, illustrators, and artists will be replaced. I've had those thoughts too. But I've realized something important: AI is a tool. Creativity is still human. Clients don't just hire softwareâthey hire people who can understand their vision, solve problems, tell compelling stories, build memorable brands, and create work that connects emotionally with an audience. This video is about staying motivated, continuing to learn, adapting to new technology, and refusing to let fear stop you from creating. The artists who succeed won't necessarily be the ones who resist changeâthey'll be the ones who embrace it while continuing to develop their unique creative voice. If you're a freelancer, designer, artist, or entrepreneur navigating this new landscape, I hope this message encourages you to keep pushing forward. Every day is another opportunity to improve your craft, build your brand, and create something meaningful. I'd love to hear your perspective: How has AI changed the way you create or run your business? Let's start a conversation and grow together. Cheers! â Ken Burge #GraphicDesign #FreelanceDesigner #CreativeJourney #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #BrandDesign #CreativeCommunity #DesignThinking #CreativeBusiness #Freelancing #PersonalBrand #Contra #CreatorChallenge #GraphicDesigner #Motivation
