This project was created for FabuLyss FitLife, a wellness and lifestyle-focused brand dedicated to helping individuals achieve sustainable health and medical weight loss through positive lifestyle changes. The design combines motivation, wellness, and professionalism to create an engaging and supportive experience for readers. The project included a visually appealing workbook cover and an organized interior layout designed for clarity, readability, and user engagement.
Goal
The goal of this project was to design a high-quality wellness workbook that reflects the brand’s mission of healthy living, self-improvement, and transformation. I wanted to create a clean and inspiring design that would emotionally connect with readers while also maintaining a professional and easy-to-follow structure for educational content.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges was balancing the large amount of visual and informational content without making the design feel overwhelming. Since the workbook focused on health and transformation, it was important to create a layout that felt motivating, calm, and trustworthy at the same time. Another challenge was maintaining consistency between the cover design and the interior pages while keeping the overall style visually appealing.
Solutions
To solve these challenges, I used a soft and calming color palette, organized typography, and a structured layout that improved readability and user experience. I also created visual harmony between the cover and interior pages to strengthen the brand identity. Through this project, I learned how effective design can support educational and wellness content by making information more engaging and easier to understand. The final design helped present the brand as professional, supportive, and focused on positive lifestyle transformation. Overview / What the book is about.
BOSS YOUR Thoughts is a Christian Powered devotional for Children / Teens and Adults, packed with Spirit inspired Scriptures, insightful activities and well presented bible verses to aid readers in navigating life in today's world.
Goal / What I wish to achieve as the Layout Designer.
I created this book in this style to bring to light the love of God to the hearts of the readers and those who are determined to know God from the Authors perspective,
revealing the "Word of God" in a more approachable way for Children, Teens and Adults, while still presenting the writer/ Author as formal as possible.
Challenges / Obstacles - Difficulties I had while working on the project.
I knew I had to get to work and unleash my creative genius because the RAW file I received from my Client / customer, was a bit plain,
but after our brief intro and discussion on the nature of book she wanted as the final output. I knew I had to get to work.
So as often times happen, the RAW files from clients do not resemble or match the expected book output form, -- but that is not a Problem for me -- Kindly Reach out to me to "Get your book Done the right way".
Results/ Solutions - Lessons I take away from this, and how my formatting solution helped the Client.
I created this book knowing that the client had stated that she wanted the finished product to be Clean/ enjoyable and professional in respect to aesthetics.
So I did just that and even exceeded her expectation because according to her, I went above and beyond her expectations to arrange the book in a way that is both formal and pleasant for all readers.
As a result of my clever design input. I got more book projects from her as well, and some referrals.
