These simple moments introduce a city that is constantly moving forward, setting the stage for the stories of the people who live and work within it. This piece explores the everyday lives of workers in Jakarta—the physical demands of their jobs, the heat, the routine, and the persistence required to get through each day. Through the fragments of traffic, passing trains, and moments from the field, the film portrays a side of Jakarta that often goes unnoticed: the quiet, continuous effort that keeps the city alive. There is nothing extraordinary about these moments. They are simply part of everyday life. But, behind every routine is a person carrying their own responsibilities, struggles, and hopes. The story ends with a simple handshake. A small gesture, yet one that carries a deeper meaning—a reminder that amidst the pressure to work, survive, and keep moving, we should never forget the importance of human connection. Because while the city keeps moving, we should never forget to connect with the people moving alongside us.
